4th EDITION - IDEAS CONTEST | Training sessions already started

It took place, last Friday, 21st October, the 1st training session, under the scope of the “Ideas Contest – Entrepreneur in Alto Tâmega e Barroso” (4th Edition), in the facilities of the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Tâmega e Barroso (CIMAT).

This 1st session of training had for objective the creation of the group dynamics, with the presentation of the consulting team, as well as the promoters and their business ideas, selected in the 1st phase of the competition, and to delineate the moulds and the chronogram of the sessions of the Acceleration Program.

Also present was Ramiro Gonçalves, First Executive Secretary of CIMAT, who welcomed the new entrepreneurs, stressing the importance of this contest, which is now in its 4th edition and that CIM intends to continue it in the coming years, as “it is essential for the creation of entrepreneurship dynamics in our territory”.

Ramiro Gonçalves also explained that “this year the Acceleration Programme is starting a little later, given the need we had to extend the deadline for the submission of applications. This summer was marked by the retaking of many activities that were suspended during the most critical phase of the pandemic, which caused a lot of noise and, consequently, the lack of applications within the initially stipulated deadline”.

From the applications submitted to the 4th edition of the Ideas Competition, it is worth noting the large presence of entrepreneurs who already have their company/business created, but who want to add innovation, differentiation, outline marketing strategies and give it scale.

To this end, they will have the support of the consultancy company, starting with the Acceleration Programme, which is based on a set of training sessions that alternate between collective sessions in a face-to-face format and individual sessions in digital format, where the promoters can improve and develop their business/business idea, with the support of specialised consultants. The three winning businesses of the Ideas Competition will then be able to benefit from the Achievement Programme, which aims to achieve specific business stages in a short period of time.

Relatively to the three winning businesses of this edition, the First Executive Secretary of CIMAT explained that given the beginning of the sessions has been later the announcement of the winners will not be made in the Gala of Entrepreneurship and Companies of Alto Tâmega and Barroso, as it was usually done, but that “all the promoters are invited to be present in this Gala, which will be on the 2nd of December, and present your business for all the range of entrepreneurs that will also be present”.

He finished his speech thanking the presence of all entrepreneurs and asking for their commitment to the project because “the consulting team, as good as it is, because we are in the 4th edition and we have kept the same consultant, without your work and commitment this initiative will not work”.
