Alto Tâmega ArtFest closes with golden key(s)

The Alto Tâmega ArtFest project, from the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Tâmega e Barroso (CIMAT), had its closure on Sunday, 30th April, with the realization of the three last shows at Praça de Camões, in Chaves, gathering a few hundred people.

The Dance Academy D’Aguiar, the Experimental Theatre Flaviense and the Musical Group Entrelynhas performed in the closing of this project.

Along one year, Alto Tâmega ArtFest took to the six municipalities that compose the region – Boticas, Chaves, Montalegre, Ribeira de Pena, Valpaços and Vila Pouca de Aguiar – 48 shows involving 36 cultural groups of the territory, since theatre companies, dance academies, musical groups, folk dance groups, bagpipe groups and some artists that performed solo. The total of these shows accounted for about seven thousand spectators.


The ArtFest Project (NORTE-04-2114-FEDER-000455) had as its general objective the promotion and enhancement of the touristic value of the cultural heritage of the territory, also promoting the animation of cultural spaces (auditoriums, theatres, multipurpose rooms, multipurpose rooms and other performance venues), as well as municipal museums and museum spaces.
